HARRISBURG – Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27) will host a telephone town hall focused on veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m., featuring American Legion Department Service Officer Bill McGovern.
McGovern, who provides monthly veterans assistance through Culver’s district office, will join the senator to discuss veterans’ benefits, available services and issues affecting those who have served. Veterans, their families and residents with questions about veterans’ issues are invited to participate.
“Our veterans and their families deserve clear information about the benefits and assistance available to them,” Culver said. “Bill regularly helps veterans through our office, and I appreciate him joining this conversation to answer questions and help residents understand their options.”
Held the evening before Veterans Day, the event will allow residents to participate by telephone from home. The discussion and caller questions will focus on veterans’ issues.
Residents who want to ensure they receive a call to join the event should sign up on the website.
