Damaged plates have loss of reflectivity, peeling, blistering, or discoloration, and are unreadable from 50 feet away. The police will determine if the plate needs to be replaced and help with appropriate paperwork. THERE IS NO FEE FOR THIS SERVICE. Once submitted to PennDOT, the new replacement plate will arrive by mail to your home address. Please bring your vehicle registration card.
