SHAMOKIN – Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27) hosted a Senior Technology Workshop on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Shamokin and Coal Township Public Library, giving local seniors the opportunity to receive help with smartphones, tablets, and everyday technology questions.
The free workshop provided a welcoming setting for seniors to ask questions, receive hands-on assistance, and become more comfortable using their devices. Participants were encouraged to bring their phones, tablets, or both to the event.
“Technology can help seniors stay connected with loved ones, access important information, and manage daily tasks,” Culver said. “I appreciate everyone who attended, asked questions, and took time to learn more about the devices they use.”
The event was hosted by Culver and the Shamokin and Coal Township Public Library.
“I also want to thank the Shamokin and Coal Township Public Library for partnering with me on this workshop,” Culver said. “Events like this help bring practical resources directly to residents in our communities.”
