HARRISBURG – Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27), chair of the Senate Education Committee, hosted Career and Technical Education Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in the East Wing Rotunda, welcoming students, educators, and schools from across Pennsylvania to highlight the value of career and technical education.
The event gave participating schools the opportunity to showcase student projects, share information about their programs, and speak with lawmakers, staff, and visitors about the many ways career and technical education is preparing students for in-demand careers and workforce success.
“Career and technical education gives students meaningful opportunities to build real skills, explore career pathways, and prepare for successful futures,” Culver said. “It was encouraging to see so many students and educators at the Capitol today sharing the strong work being done in CTE programs across Pennsylvania.”
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the wide range of programs offered through career and technical education and the important role those programs play in supporting students, employers, and communities.
