MIDDLEBURG – Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27) will host a Damaged License Plate Replacement Event on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First United Church of Christ, 8671 Route 522, Middleburg.
The event will provide residents with the opportunity to have their license plates inspected by local law enforcement. Plates that are peeling, blistered, discolored, or unreadable from 50 feet away may qualify for a free replacement.
“This event makes it simple for residents to replace damaged plates at no cost, ensuring their vehicles remain safe and compliant with PennDOT regulations,” Culver said. “I encourage anyone with a plate showing wear or damage to stop by.”
Police officers will be on-site to determine if plates meet the criteria for replacement and will help complete the necessary paperwork. Replacement plates will be mailed directly to vehicle owners by PennDOT once applications are processed.
Participants must bring the license plate and the current registration card for the specific vehicle they want replaced. Both items are required at the event in order to complete the application. Pre-registration is encouraged by visiting SenatorCulver.com or calling 570-743-1918.
