HARRISBURG – Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27) will collect nonperishable food items throughout September as part of the Hunger Action Month effort supporting local food banks and families across Pennsylvania.
Donations will be accepted from Sept. 1 through Sept. 30 at Culver’s district offices, with items collected to be provided to local food banks.

Residents attending Culver and Rep. Joanne Stehr’s Senior Expo at Knoebels Amusement Resort on Wednesday, Sept. 9, are also encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to contribute to the drive.
The collection coincides with Hunger Action Month, which is recognized throughout September to raise awareness of food insecurity and encourage support for organizations addressing hunger.
