HARRISBURG – Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27) and Representative Robert Leadbeter (R-109) today announced that SEKISUI KYDEX has been awarded $2 million through the Commonwealth’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) for improvements to the company’s South Campus facility.
The project will redevelop a blighted and underused portion of the South Campus and prepare the site for SEKISUI KYDEX’s new press lamination facility. Work includes reconstruction of an existing unusable section of the building and improvements needed for the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
“SEKISUI KYDEX has been an important employer in our region for many years, and this investment will help prepare the company for continued growth,” said Culver. “Redeveloping existing facilities while supporting manufacturing jobs strengthens our local economy and creates opportunities for the future.”
“Strong local economies are build through strong local leadership. Senator Culver and I have worked together to advocate strongly for Columbia County, and I am proud of our shared efforts to secure the investments our communities need to grow and prosper.” Said Rep. Leadbeter.
The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program provides grants for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic and historical improvement projects that support job creation and economic growth throughout Pennsylvania.
